The Stock Exchange has received a message from China Mengniu Dairy Company
Limited, a new listing applicant, which is reproduced as follows:-

Announcement of the Offer Price, indication of the level of interest
in the International Offering and the application results and basis
of allocation of the Hong Kong Offer Shares (with successful
applicants' identification document numbers) to be published in
the South China Morning Post (in English) and the Hong Kong
Economic Times (in Chinese) on Tuesday, 8 June
Despatch of share certificates in respect of wholly or partially
successful applications on Tuesday, 8 June
Despatch of refund cheques in respect of wholly successful
(if applicable) or wholly or partially unsuccessful applications
on or before Tuesday, 8 June
Dealings in Shares on the Stock Exchange to commence on Thursday, 10 June
Share certificates for the Offer Shares are expected to be issued on
Tuesday, 8 June 2004 but will only become valid certificates
of title at 7: 45 a.m. on Thursday, 10 June 2004 provided that (i) the
Global Offering has become unconditional in all respects
and (ii) the right of termination as described in the section headed
''Underwriting'' in the prospectus of the Company dated 1 June 2004 has
not been exercised.
If you have applied for 1,000,000 Hong Kong Offer Shares or more and
you have indicated in your Application Forms that you wish to collect your
refund cheque (where relevant) and share certificates (where relevant)
personally, you may collect your refund cheque (where relevant) and your
share certificates (where relevant) from our share registrar,
Computershare Hong Kong Investor Services Limited of Shops 1712-16, 17th
Floor, Hopewell Centre, 183 Queen's Road East, Hong Kong from 9: 00 a.m.
to 1: 00 p.m. on Tuesday, 8 June 2004 or any other day that we publish in
the newspapers as the date of despatch of share certificates/refund
cheques. If you are an individual who opts for personal collection, you
must not authorize any other person to make collection on your behalf. If
you are a corporate applicant which opts for personal collection, you must
attend by your authorized representative bearing a letter of authorization
from your corporation stamped with your corporation's chop. Both
individuals and authorized representatives (if applicable) must produce,
at the time of collection, evidence of identity acceptable to our share
registrar. Uncollected share certificates and refund cheques will be
despatched by ordinary post at the applicant's own risk to the address
specified in the relevant Application Form. If you have applied for less
than 1,000,000 Hong Kong Offer Shares or have applied for 1,000,000 Hong
Kong Offer Shares or more but have not indicated in the Application Form
that you wish to collect share certificates and/or refund cheques, your
share certificates (if applying by using a white Application Form)
and/or refund cheques will be sent to the address on the Application Form
on Tuesday, 8 June 2004, by ordinary post and at your own risk.
